Description

A rich and decadent chocolate mousse cake layered with dark, milk, and white chocolate mousse.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 8 ounces milk chocolate, chopped
  • 8 ounces white chocolate, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  4. While the cake cools, melt the dark chocolate and let it cool slightly.
  5. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold in the melted dark chocolate.
  6. Repeat the previous step for the milk and white chocolate.
  7. Layer the dark chocolate mousse on top of the cooled cake, followed by the milk chocolate mousse, and finally the white chocolate mousse.
  8. Chill the cake for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense chocolate flavor, use high-quality chocolate.
  • Let the cake sit overnight for the best texture.
