A rich and decadent dessert with layers of chocolate mousse and a chocolate cake base.
Ingredients

- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 8 ounces milk chocolate, chopped
- 8 ounces white chocolate, chopped
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate cake base and let it cool.
- Melt the semisweet chocolate and let it cool.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs and add melted chocolate.
- In another bowl, whip the cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.
- Repeat the melting and folding process with the milk chocolate and then the white chocolate.
- Layer the mousses on top of the chocolate cake.
- Chill in the refrigerator for a few hours until set.
- Serve chilled, garnished with chocolate shavings if desired.
Notes
- For best results, use high-quality chocolate.
- Allow the cake to chill overnight for improved flavor.
- Can be topped with whipped cream and berries for presentation.
