Description
A delicious dish made with grape leaves stuffed with a flavorful mixture of meat and rice.
Ingredients

- 1 cup rice
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 jar grape leaves, drained
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 3 cups water or chicken broth
Instructions
- Rinse rice and place it in a bowl with the ground beef, chopped onion, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cumin. Mix well.
- Lay out grape leaves, shiny side down, and place a spoonful of the mixture at the base of each leaf. Fold the sides in over the filling and roll tightly.
- Place the stuffed grape leaves seam side down in a pot. Pour lemon juice and water or chicken broth over them.
- Cover and cook on low heat for about 1 hour.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve with yogurt or a side salad for a refreshing complement.
- You can substitute ground beef with lamb for a different flavor.
