- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until water is absorbed.
- Meanwhile, steam the broccoli florets until tender.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, steamed broccoli, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Serve hot as a side dish.

- This dish can be made with leftover rice.
