- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sprinkle with salt and sugar.
- Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms are browned and caramelized.
- Add the minced garlic and thyme, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve warm as a side dish or topping.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add balsamic vinegar during the last few minutes of cooking.
- These mushrooms pair well with steak or grilled chicken.
