Description

A rich and creamy custard made from all animal products, perfect for those following a carnivore diet.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon beef tallow
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons sweetener (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and sweetener until well combined.
  3. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and beef tallow until warm but not boiling.
  4. Slowly pour the warm cream mixture into the egg yolks, whisking continuously, then add vanilla and salt.
  5. Pour the mixture into ramekins and place them in a baking dish filled with hot water.
  6. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until set.
  7. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • This custard can be flavored with different extracts or spices, depending on preference.
  • Serves well chilled after being stored in the refrigerator.
